Woven Knot Designs began as a conversation between two best friends who shared a dream of building something together. After years of bonding over shopping trips, book clubs, monthly book swaps, and traveling to our favorite place in Georgia—the home of The Vampire Diaries—we realized we wanted to turn our love for creating into something we could share with others.
What started as weekend crafting sessions for fun quickly grew into something more. Between Shay's endless creative ideas and Kay's "let me make a spreadsheet for that" mindset, Woven Knot Designs became a place where handmade pieces meet heart, personality, and a whole lot of teamwork. We chose the name Woven Knot Designs because it represents who we are—woven creativity, knotted friendship, and designs that bring it all together.
We believe handmade products should be as meaningful as they are beautiful. Our mission is to create thoughtfully crafted items inspired by the hobbies, interests, and moments that bring people together.

Meet the Owners
Shay Walden
Hi, I’m Shay! I’m the designing half of Woven Knot Designs. I’ve always loved creating, crafting, and finding joy in the little things. I’ve been happily married to my wonderful husband since 2022, and together we share our home with our golden doodle, Ellie Mae, who is spoiled rotten and the biggest scaredy-cat you’ll ever meet.
When I’m not dreaming up new designs for WKD, you’ll usually find me binge-watching my favorite shows - I'm a huge Criminal Minds and Grey’s Anatomy fan - planning the next game night, or spending time with the people I love. I have a passion for traveling, and some of my favorite places I've visited are Poland and Germany, but nothing will ever top our honeymoon in Colorado. Give me mountain views over the beach any day!
I’m also an avid reader and can almost always be found with a book nearby. Fantasy, romance, and thrillers are my go-to genres. I love sewing, crafting, and just about any hobby that lets me be creative.

Kay Phifer
Hi, I’m Kay! I’m the numbers-loving half of Woven Knot Designs. While Shay brings our creative ideas to life, I’m the one keeping our books balanced, spreadsheets organized, and goals on track. I come from a long line of talented sewers, and my love for crafting started at a young age. My grandma gave me my very first sewing machine when I was 13 years old, and I still sew on it today.
When I’m not keeping up with WKD or working as an accountant, you’ll usually find me curled up with a romance or fantasy book and a coffee in hand. I’m a proud coffee addict, especially once sweater weather rolls around - the best time of year! I also love traveling, baking sourdough bread and sweet treats, trying new experiences, and finding little ways to step outside my comfort zone.
Woven Knot Designs has been a dream in the making, and I’m so grateful to share it with one of my best friends. We can’t wait to share our handmade creations with you and hope they become part of your story, too.
